Resolutions

Happy 2008!

Time for fresh starts...new beginnings.
What a perfect time to make positive changes in your walk with God.

When you're making resolutions [or making your resolution to not make resolutions], ask yourself some of these questions:

-What have I done in the past year that I want to avoid doing in the new year?
-What can I do to strengthen my relationship with God?
-How can I change my current routine to make room for more quiet time with God?
-Is there anything particular I've been doing that I know God doesn't like?
-Where can I see myself witnessing (talking about God, etc.) and helping others gain a relationship with the Lord?

Just a few points to consider.
Have a wonderful New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Happy 2008!

Discussion

There is a lack of comments left on the site, so here is a discussion thread.

No particular topic.
No limitations (though certain rules are implied).
Just talk.
About anything.
Please.

And then continue coming back so you can keep the discussion going.

Merry Christmas :]

MERRY CHRISTMAS from REAL Youth!

Remember to keep in mind the true reason the season. The true reason for EVERY season.

Remember to continue doing your acts of random kindness each day.

Remember to spread the love of Christ. Spread the Good News to everyone you meet.

Remember to thank God for the many blessings in your life.
And thank Him for sending Jesus to Earth.

Remember to stay grounded, avoid getting caught up in material possessions, enjoy the times you have with friends and family, and have a wonderful holiday season. :]

[[Also remember to share all of your holiday peaks and tweaks with us, either on Sunday or here on the blog--or both!!]]

Mission Trip Payment Change

A good change!
There's been a small change in our first mission trip payment to the Dominican Republic. Instead of paying $100 on January 6th (towards the plane ticket), $60 is due on December 30th. This will secure your plane reservation and will go towards the cost of your airfare. You will not receive this back unless you decide to not go on the trip by April 1st.
Keep thinking and praying about the trip! Mission trips are life-changing experiences that truly bless everyone, the helped and the helpers. You don't want to miss this.

Christmas Caroling!

In youth group, we are talking about "changing the world...every chance we get."

Ready to start??

We have the chance to bring some cheer, and make a positive difference, to those who are in a nursing home this holiday season.

No auditions necessary--we accept and expect the worst singing voices available! And if you happen to have an amazing singing voice, come and bring our caroling group to a whole new level! :]

Don't forget to wear your absolute best Christmas attire...like our little friend here:

And bring a batch of your favorite cookies...even if they end up burnt!

We look forward to seeing you there!
Meet at the church at 7pm on December 9th. We will return to the church around 8:45pm.

ENC Visit

We have four students, along with Pastor Andrea, visiting ENC [Eastern Nazarene College] this weekend. Please pray for all of them as they travel, learn, experience new things, and make important decisions. Remember to ask them all about the trip and about the school when you see them at church on Sunday! :)

Keep on your mind when praying this weekend

Sports Festival Of Life

The sports segment of FOL [Festival of Life] took place this weekend, and those of us who weren't able to join the FUN-NESS (just pretend it's a word) want to know all about it! For those of you who went this year, tell us everything--funny stories, interesting reunions, favorite parts, worst parts, embarrassing things your friends and youth leaders may have done, and anything else you want to share!!
